Three Muses - Stairs

I'm always fascinated by deserted houses, abandoned barns, and remnants of the past.  I wonder what stories they could tell about the people who shared their heyday.   They often inspire me to write a bit of poetry, as did this abandoned stairway to .... who knows where?    Thanks for indulging me!

Three Muses Challenge - Whimsical, Quirky, Humorous!

Why do I have a dreamy young lady using a fish for transportation?  I have no idea.  That's what this week's theme is all about.  Create something on a whim.  Just have fun, let your hair down and get whimsical.  I can't wait to see the results.

We can't wait to see where this theme takes you, but just in case you need a little help to get started, here is a sample for your inspiration.

Remember, all forms and mediums of art are welcome, all we ask is that you enjoy yourself and show us what you create.

The Three Muses Challenge - The Written Word

CHECK OUT THE POST BELOW THIS ONE TO FIND OUT WHO THE WINNERS ARE IN OUR SECOND ANNIVERSARY CHALLENGE!

SEE BELOW FOR THE TEXT OF THE NEWSPAPER MESSAGE.

This week we are still celebrating.  The theme is "The Written Word" and mine comes in the shape of a newspaper story.  The idea is to use any type of text in your artwork from handwriting to hieroglyphics.  Check my blog HERE for credits.

"Who would have thought, two years ago, that the Muses challenge would still be running successfully.  We now have a permanent record of hundreds of pieces of art, lovingly created by our members who come from all the various forms of artistic expression.

As we live in far distant corners of the planet, we are not able to celebrate together but we ARE together in spirit.  The best thing about a challenge is that it isn't just a question of art but the friendships we make and the wonderful, generous people we encounter.  Here's to you all!"

AND THE WINNERS ARE ......

Hi, it's me Ann, and last week I promised prizes to celebrate our 'turning two'.

So, during this week,  Bev, Marie and I  have been busy each creating a Mailart envelope and stuffing it full with all manner of  goodies for the draw.  In consequence there are THREE envelopes ready to be posted out to three of our blog friends.

AND THE WINNERS ARE ……………. drum roll please

SUZEEZ                                                      14
JOHANNA                                                   19
ANA CRISTINA CALDATTO                            45

Congratulations to each of you from each of the Three Muses.

To enable us to mail out your prizes would you email me at himandme1@tiscali.co.uk with your postal addresses.

Now for the boring but important bits  - there were 53 entries for the BLUE theme (which included, Bev, Marie and myself and a small number of double entries :  when a participant had either sent good wishes and then later entered a piece of art, or where a participant had forgotten to include their link in their first entry and so had to make a second one).  I deducted the Three Muses, and for fairness sake, where a double entry had been made I also deducted one from each so that everyone had one chance of winning.  There were, therefore, 46 names entered into RANDOM.ORG.)
