Our theme here at the Muses this week is INTERESTING HATS!
Have fun!
END OF AN ERA ...... And then there was one!
So after almost 14 years of the Three Muses, with the sad passing of first Marie and then earlier this month Bev it looks as though our challenge blog is coming to its natural conclusion.
Let me say a most sincere thank you, though, for the heartwarming tributes you left for Bev in my earlier post. They show how much she was loved and appreciated and will be a great comfort to those who knew her, and especially her family.
NEW BEGINNINGS .... And now there are two!
It's clear that the Three Muses, in its present form, can't really continue, but the good news is Deann has agreed to join me as my partner in crime and we are currently looking at how we could update what we already have or create a new challenge blog entirely.
So over the next few weeks we will continue to post a weekly theme here at the Muses whilst we explore what happens next.
It will be your challenge blog too, by the way, so any suggestions or ideas you might have will be gratefully received.
In the meantime lovely artists there will be a weekly sneak peek theme for you to enjoy!
She was a true friend, a talented artist and a wonderful wordsmith who will be missed by all who knew her ... here at the Three Muses, at Flickr Digitalmania and on her own personal blogs.
She, together with Marie and myself dreamed up the Three Muses challenge blog when challenge blogs were new and exciting and a happy place for artists to gather, learn and showcase their work. And we attracted artists from so many places ... Europe and the US but also from as far away as Africa and Asia! Who knew so many people were out there looking for creative kindred spirits!
Thinking about it we don't always have a good word for Blogger with its odd ways, unannounced changes and many glitches .... but credit where credit is due .... thank you Blogger for allowing us all to find such good and creative friends.
Bev, you will be sadly missed, my friend.
Rest in peace.
Have fun!
Have fun.
This week, here at the Muses, we're MESSING UP A MASTER .... and just in case you need a little help to get you going here's a sample for your inspiration!!!
Have fun!
I'm off to Greece ... well to Rhodes to be exact for a couple of weeks from next Saturday 14th which means unfortunately there won't be anyone here at the Muses to host the May challenges.
So in my absence ...... I'm going to set you a challenge of creating as many Journal pages as you'd like to make and post with the theme of FLY ME TO THE MOON for Wednesday the 11th.
The next challenge will be Wednesday 1 June and my theme is for you to MASH UP A MASTER. So let's see what damage you can do to a Waterhouse or Modigliani or other artist of your choice.
Have fun .... and be good whilst I'm away!! 😉
Have fun!
It's TICK TOCK or TIME this week at the Muses and whilst I'm sure you'll be full of ideas just in case you need a little help to get you going here's a sample for your inspiration.
Have fun!
LOOKS LIKE BLOGGER IS HAVING A PROBLEM AS THERE APPEARS TO BE NO WAY TO LEAVE A COMMENT. HOPEFULLY THIS WON'T LAST LONG AND YOU'LL BE ABLE TO LEAVE A COPY OF YOUR ARTWORK VERY SOON!!!
It's EGGS this week here at the Muses and, as always, here is an example for your inspiration.
Enjoy!
Let's have a bit of TURQUOISE AND RED this week and here's a sample for your inspiration!
(A little early this week as I won't be at home until Wednesday evening)
Have fun!
Have fun!
A number of you have noticed Bev has been absent from the Muses (and also Digitalmania) for a week or two and are clearly keen to know that she is OK.
I spoke to her a couple of days ago and asked if I could let you all know what has been happening and below is what she wanted me to tell you on her behalf.
Bev is 88 and has had a number of health issues this winter starting with pneumonia.. She calls it the Winter of her Discontent, but hopes to return to the challenges in a couple of weeks. She will tell you she feels she has seen every =ologist excepting the archeologist and paleontologist!!
And she also thanks you all for your concern.
(You'll find this week's challenge on the post below)
