THREE MUSES #92 - Ancestor

In her later years, my mother gave me her grandmother's photo album.  It was one of those wonderful old leather-bound albums with windowed pages for cabinet card photos.  By the time I received it, the pages were tattered and only a few photos remained, all unidentified.  The young man above is one of those.  I like his earnest expression and square jaw.   We share DNA, but I don't know who he is.   The benevolent face in the mist behind the Family Record is that of my grandmother.  I wish she had written his name on the back of his photo!

  9. Lovely, we have made sure our mother has written on the back of all our families photos, but there are always a few that remain a mystery.

  16. Thank you SO much for this theme. It prodded me to create a heritage collage for my father's side of the family (something I've been putting off doing). We have only a few photos of these ancestors, and I'm thrilled to have created this record. Here is my piece, on my blog.
