The Three Muses Challenge - GRUNGE/PRINT BACKGROUND


I hope you will enjoy our more challenging challenges!  I think this challenge should appeal to all our wonderful artists as it involves the use of stamps, silhouettes, brushes and "print" backgrounds (newsprint, pages of books, dictionaries and music manuscripts).  You can choose your own theme. I scan my backgrounds from an old dictionary and add some grunge and texture to make them more interesting. Adding splatters and stains enhances the depth and gives a "used" look.  I admit being addicted to neutral tones mixed with black but colour is OK, of course.

    It's been a while since I played along, but am hoping to join in the fun again soon!
    One thing I'd love to see is a Linky List. Do you KWIM? Where we can all see pics of the submissions as opposed to text links?
