I'm sure you all have noticed the absence of Marie (Ozstuff) in the last couple of weeks. Marie is recuperating from major surgery. In the interim, Ann and Bev will keep our Three Muses, Take a Word and Digitalmania challenges up and running. We know you join us in sending Marie our thoughts and wishes for a speedy recovery.

UPDATE: 10/27: Marie is having a long and difficult recovery. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

The kookaburra is a native Australian bird, prolific in many parts of the country.  It comes from the kingfisher family.  A kookaburra's call is like very loud laughter.  They are prolific in many parts of Australia and when they are in large groups the cacophony is deafening.  This week our theme for the Three Muses is BIRDS.
