I'm sure you all have noticed the absence of Marie (Ozstuff) in the last couple of weeks. Marie is recuperating from major surgery. In the interim, Ann and Bev will keep our Three Muses, Take a Word and Digitalmania challenges up and running. We know you join us in sending Marie our thoughts and wishes for a speedy recovery.

UPDATE 8/30: Marie's recovery is progressing well. She is expected to be moved to rehab very soon. Your notes of encouragement are being relayed to her.

UPDATE 9/3: Marie continues to make a slow recovery. Your notes of encouragement have been copied into a document and are being relayed to her. We all thank you for your concern.

Three Muses - Out of Bounds

Our challenge this week is to create out-of-bounds art.  I had so much fun I created two.   Hopefully you all enjoyed the challenge as well.  I'm looking forward to seeing what you've created!

BLACK AND WHITE

This week we have BLACK AND WHITE pure and simple as our theme at the Muses.    Make it bold and stark, or soften it with grey .. or perhaps a pop of colour.  Zetti it, doodle it or zentangle it, or well you get the picture.

I'm sure your creative juices are already flowing but just in case you need a little help to get you started here is a sample for your inspiration.

Have fun!

Pop over to Taluulas for credits and to see why I was looking forward to a cuppa yesterday.

Three Muses Challenge - LOVE

I heard an old song this week - Joni Mitchell's "From both sides now".  I love her lyrics and it seems she looked at love from both sides but she really doesn't know love at all.  I was inspired to create two pictures to depict both sides and I hope I am forgiven for posting both of them.
Go HERE for credits.
Create an art journal page showing us what love means to you (not necessarily the Valentine's Day ideal).  For those who don't know what an art journal page is, it is simply a page with artwork and some text or even a single word.  In other words, it is freestyle and the way you approach the theme is up to you.  Have fun!
